"What kind of demon? I don't know. I fought it twice before, but it was always just a mass of demonic aura, so I couldn't make it out. It's extremely powerful—at the very least, it's about as strong as Big Brother Shin."
Standing at the foot of the mountain and looking upward, Uchiha Shin wondered when such a powerful demon had appeared in the Western Cattle-Gift Continent. And it was so arrogant that it actually dared to seize a mountain belonging to the Heavenly Court.
After thinking for a while, Uchiha Shin still could not figure out what demon it might be.
"Ao Lie, stay down here with the Heavenly Soldiers. I'll go up and take a look."
With that, Uchiha Shin headed up the mountain.
There was no point in bringing the Heavenly Soldiers along. The opponent was so strong that they would not be much help.
He could go up alone. If he could not win, he could always retreat.
After arriving on the mountain, Uchiha Shin observed his surroundings. There was indeed demonic aura on the mountain, but it was not heavy—extremely faint, in fact. One had to sense it carefully to detect it.
He walked all the way from the foot of the mountain past its waist, yet did not see a single demon.
