Uchiha Shin had expected this attitude from the Flame Emperor, but seeing it now still surprised him. The Flame Emperor was acting far too much like a bystander.
"Your Majesty the Flame Emperor, even if you do not wish to concern yourself with the affairs of humanity, don't you want to see the Yellow Emperor and ask about what happened back then?
"After all these years, have you truly let go of those grudges?"
Uchiha Shin looked at the Flame Emperor as he spoke.
The Flame Emperor sat there without saying a word.
Uchiha Shin continued, "Your Majesty, if you had truly let go of the grudges from back then, you would not have withdrawn here in such despair. Since you have not let them go, why not take this opportunity to settle the matter? Letting this drag on is harmful to you, the Yellow Emperor, and all of humanity.
"Look—the matter happened countless years ago, yet Old Yan and the others still oppose the Yellow Emperor and still want to defeat him. That says it all. I ask that Your Majesty step in and resolve this conflict. Otherwise, the Shennong Clan and the Yellow Emperor's people will continue to fight in the future."
As the Flame Emperor listened to Uchiha Shin, his brows lifted slightly. It did make some sense.
"Your Majesty, although you no longer concern yourself with mortal affairs, I know that humanity still weighs on your heart. Humanity is now suffering through the ravages of war, so I hope you can emerge for their sake. Otherwise, humanity may truly face a great extinction this time," Uchiha Shin continued.
Having seen the surviving civilians at Beaconfire Mountain, he knew the Flame Emperor still cared for humanity. He simply did not wish to go out.
