General Monkey led the demons in battle here. Though they were at a disadvantage, he showed no panic whatsoever. Instead, a cold smile rested on his lips.
The Heavenly Generals and the demons fought for a long while without a clear victor, though the demons had remained at a disadvantage throughout.
Outside the South Heaven Gate, Taishang Laojun watched the battle below and frowned. He sensed that the demons' disadvantage seemed deliberate, as though they were gathering strength.
Below, Virudhaka continued directing the heavenly soldiers' assault on the demons.
Yet he did not know that a Demon army of thirty thousand had already appeared behind him, concealed in a hidden location.
Gibbon King raised his head and looked toward the distant camp, cold light flashing in his eyes.
"Everyone is ready. We'll strike soon!" Gibbon King said in a low voice.
After waiting for a while, Gibbon King swept his saber forward. "Brothers, charge!"
In an instant, all the demons rushed out, brandishing their weapons as they stormed the camp.
Behind them was a group of archers. Their arrows were tipped with flame, and as they fell into the camp, a towering inferno erupted.
