Why had Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva stepped in to help the young monk? Could it have been solely to oppose Taishang Laojun and aid Uchiha Shin?
They did not think that possibility was particularly likely.
Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva would not help Uchiha Shin so casually, unless Uchiha Shin had personally sought his aid. But this time, Uchiha Shin had not known beforehand that they would choose the Jade Emperor, much less gone to ask Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva for help.
"Zhenyuan Daxian, have you divined anything?" Taishang Laojun asked, turning his gaze toward Zhenyuan Daxian.
Zhenyuan Daxian shook his head. He had not divined anything either.
Maitreya Buddha, standing to one side, looked at them and said, "I have."
Everyone turned toward Maitreya Buddha, their eyes filled with curiosity.
"Why did Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva help this young monk?" Taishang Laojun asked.
Maitreya Buddha smiled faintly. "Ksitigarbha helped this young monk because his past life was far from ordinary."
This only made them more curious. Just who was this young monk? What kind of extraordinary past life could draw Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's attention?
"This man is the reincarnation of Tathagata Buddha's second disciple, Golden Cicada," Maitreya Buddha answered with a smile.

Taishang Laojun and the others were stunned. It was actually Golden Cicada!

None of them could quite believe it. They had never expected things to coincide so perfectly!
Thinking it over more carefully now, they felt it was highly possible. No wonder that young monk had possessed such an extraordinary bearing and seemed anything but ordinary. He was Golden Cicada reincarnated.
"Golden Cicada and Uchiha Shin used to be close friends. Who would have thought that after reincarnating, he would still be
