Indeed, when Uchiha Shin and Great Elder Xizi had entered, it had already been close to evening.
Yet they had walked through Myriad Laws Forest for three or four shichen, and the sky was only just beginning to darken. This surprised them.
"Great Elder, do you think something else might be about to emerge?" Uchiha Shin asked as he stood there.
Great Elder Xizi said, "I think this is probably a special condition within Myriad Laws Forest. After all, this place contains myriad laws, so it is different from the world outside."
Uchiha Shin nodded, and the two continued onward.
"As the sky grows darker, the hidden beasts will gradually emerge. They come out to hunt for food," Uchiha Shin said calmly, his hands clasped behind his back as he looked around.
Great Elder Xizi glanced at Uchiha Shin. "Mystic Spirit King, we sensed the forest from outside earlier. There were no major fluctuations in the aura within. There shouldn't be any particularly powerful beasts, should there?"
"Just as you said, Great Elder, the conditions in Myriad Laws Forest truly differ from those outside. Who knows what strange changes might occur?" Uchiha Shin smiled faintly.
Great Elder Xizi paused. That was true. The conditions within Myriad Laws Forest could not be judged by the experience of the outside world.
Sure enough, as they spoke, a ferocious beast resembling a giant ape leaped out before them, pounding its chest. Yet a red horn grew from its head, glittering brightly.
Uchiha Shin stared at the horn on its head. It reminded him of a toy from his previous life.
"What is this thing?" Uchiha Shin asked blankly.
"A beast."
After roaring twice, the beast swung its fists and smashed them toward Uchiha Shin and Great Elder Xizi.
The beast possessed tremendous strength.
