Five Elements Mountain was not so easy to climb. Even immortals and gods like them had to endure immense pressure when climbing it; some might not even make it halfway up.
Yet Xuanzang and Liu Boqin had actually managed it. It was truly unbelievable.
Xuanzang had succeeded partly because he was Golden Cicada's reincarnation, and partly because he possessed powerful willpower and an unwavering heart.
Liu Boqin, however, was different. He was merely an ordinary man, and there were only two reasons he could do this. First, he had lived deep in the mountains for many years. Second, he too possessed an exceptionally strong will.
The two rested on a boulder for a while, ate some dry rations, and drank some water before searching the mountaintop for the Six-Character Mantra.
The Six-Character Mantra was easy enough to find. After all, it gleamed with golden light and radiated tremendous power, drawing many living creatures toward it.
Yet no creature dared approach it.
Xuanzang and Liu Boqin stood some distance away, gazing at the Six-Character Mantra affixed to a huge boulder, joy showing in both their eyes.
The Six-Character Mantra truly seemed incredibly powerful. Its radiance alone already made them feel immense pressure.
After a brief pause, Xuanzang looked at Liu Boqin. "Brother Liu, leave this matter to me. You wait for me from a distance."
"Master Xuanzang, what are you saying? We climbed all the way here together from the foot of the mountain. You could say we've shared life and death. If we're going, then we go together," Liu Boqin said.
He knew the Six-Character Mantra possessed tremendous power. If they approached it together, their lives could very well be in danger, but Liu Boqin was not afraid. If they died, they died together. What was the big deal?
