The tremor, as if it had come from the edge of the sky, spread across all of Konoha.

Two immense chakra eruptions, vast beyond all limits, burst forth without pause, exceeding everyone's comprehension. Blinding light exploded within the unnamed valley and shot straight into the heavens.

Konoha was equally chaotic. The villagers panicked, not knowing what to do. The Uchiha had launched a rebellion—or so the ninjas of the major clans claimed—and the villagers became even more terrified. Coupled with the distant aftershocks that felt like divine wrath, fear spread rapidly. Even though the Uchiha had not attacked them, a massive stampede broke out, plunging the village into unprecedented chaos.

Shin led his clansmen straight toward the Senju Clan's gathering grounds. He had no time to concern himself with those panicked civilians. Though the Uchiha had many members, their numbers were still far too small compared to Konoha as a whole. Dividing their forces to deal with the villagers would have been unwise.

On the contrary, this chaotic situation was even more advantageous for the Uchiha's surprise attack.

Like the Uchiha, the Senju Clan possessed a vast residential district. One lay in the east and the other in the west, stationed at opposite ends like the village's two guardian deities.

"Fire Style, Great Flame Myriad Flower Break!"

The instant he arrived at the Senju gathering grounds, Shin unleashed his ninjutsu. His hands flashed through seals, and an S-rank Fire Style activated.

Countless massive fireballs, like meteors, appeared in the sky. They fell like a fiery meteor shower, and thunderous explosions rang out in succession. Buildings shattered beneath the impacts, the earth became scarred in the blink of an eye, and ancient trees and houses alike toppled, burning ceaselessly beneath crimson flames.

Most terrifying of all, the fireballs seemed endless.
