The moon shone bright amid sparse stars, a full moon hanging high in the sky. Its hazy light spilled across the earth, bathing the land in a dreamlike glow.
The lake shimmered with silver light beneath the moon. Frogs sang freely atop lotus leaves, dragonflies and other insects had settled on the tips of grass, and schools of fish searched for food in the night—a scene of perfect harmony. Suddenly, the frogs fell silent, kicking off into the lake. The fish darted to the bottom, while the insects spread their wings and fled. Heaven and earth fell quiet in an instant. Though the scenery remained beautiful, it now carried a trace of deathly stillness. A pillar of silver light descended from the moon like a staircase falling from the heavens.
Three figures slowly walked down within it.
The silver light drew back, and the three landed on the ground. All of them had pure white eyes and wore ancient white robes.
"So this is the Main World? It really is far better than that damned place on the moon. What a waste to leave it to those fools who don't know how to cherish it." The man on the right spoke. He appeared to be in his forties, and a fierce air lingered between his brows.
He was Otsutsuki Arayu, an expert of the Otsutsuki branch family a hundred years ago. He had rebelled alongside Otsutsuki Guiyan and been forcefully suppressed by the main family of that era, imprisoned for a full century. In terms of strength, he was likely at the peak of Kage Level. Across the entire Main World, there were only a handful of people capable of defeating him.
"Clan Head, what do we do now?" another man asked, cautiously surveying the surroundings.
He was Otsutsuki Shenwu.
