Second Shinobi World War

Iwagakure's entry into the war marked the official beginning of the Second Shinobi World War.

The Senju Clan was the first to lead its ninjas into battle. At this point, the Uchiha could no longer remain hidden either. They began mobilizing their clansmen as well, preparing to rejoin the war.

Konoha's state of war was raised another level, reaching the highest level: a shinobi world war.

Uzumaki Mizusu, the First Hokage's wife, brought her unparalleled prestige to bear. Under her command, all of Konoha began operating in full, no longer plagued by the previous chaos of everyone undermining one another.

This was also the solution Hiruzen Sarutobi had conceived to break the deadlock: borrowing momentum.

As Senju Tobirama's disciple, he was undoubtedly a clever man, and he could clearly see where the problem lay. In the end, he was simply too young to command the respect of others.

Under such circumstances, stubbornly holding on in Konoha would accomplish nothing. It would only make matters worse. An elder capable of commanding the situation had to step forward in order to stabilize the current state of affairs.

As for himself, there was only one thing he needed to do now: reverse the disadvantage on the front lines. Only by fighting—and winning—could a person rapidly build prestige.

He did not believe Konoha's ninjas had lost their ability to fight. The village had only existed for twenty-five years; even if peace had dulled their resolve, it could not have happened so quickly.

After Hiruzen Sarutobi arrived at the front, he swiftly familiarized himself with the situation, took over the authority from Shimura Danzō, and began confronting the Third Raikage.
