In Konoha Year 47, the Third Shinobi World War had entered its seventh year. The Land of Rain, at the very heart of the battlefield, had been ravaged beyond recognition. Nearly all of its territory had been consumed by war. Without Hanzō as its shield, its circumstances were several times worse than in the original story.
Over the course of the prolonged war, Konoha had cultivated a great number of talents, and countless geniuses had risen to fame.
The most dazzling among them were naturally the Sannin. Ever since killing Hanzō, each of them had been regarded as a strategic-level powerhouse, even rated as experts no weaker than the current Five Kage.
They had also proven more than capable. Although their strength had not yet reached its peak when they fought Hanzō, they grew rapidly in the wars that followed, truly becoming Kage-level Experts capable of standing on their own.
Apart from the three of them, Konoha's White Fang on the Sunagakure battlefield had also become a brilliant rising star. So far, he had never failed a single mission he undertook, and no one knew how many Sunagakure experts had died by his hand. Last year, during a secret mission, he encountered Sunagakure's Anbu commander and killed him at the cost of only minor injuries, sending shockwaves through the entire battlefield.
One had to know that Sunagakure's Anbu commander had always been considered one of the strongest figures beneath the Kazekage. He was a major figure on the same level as Konoha's Danzo, having sabotaged Konoha's important plans several times and inflicted heavy casualties on Konoha's side. No one had expected him to suddenly die at White Fang's hands.
After that battle, Konoha's White Fang was listed by Sunagakure as an absolutely dangerous target, and a kill-on-sight order was issued
