Danzo did not answer. He lifted the teacup before him and took a light sip, his face still wearing its usual cold expression.
"Since you already know Konoha can't send any more reinforcements, why ask for my opinion? Don't tell me you expect me to conjure reinforcements out of thin air. You should know that even I'm still recovering from my injuries."
"I know." Hiruzen Sarutobi's expression was grave. "But we can't abandon the Senju Clan. Sunagakure has decided to go all out. They've even pulled back their forces from the Land of Rain. The Senju Clan has suffered severe losses over so many years of fighting; I'm afraid they won't be able to withstand this wave of attacks. And in the Land of Rain, Iwagakure also seems to have committed its final forces, preparing for a decisive battle with us. We're being attacked on two fronts now. The situation is far from optimistic."
Danzo remained silent, seemingly calculating something in his heart. He poured himself another cup of clear tea. "Won't you try some? I brought it back from the Land of Rain battlefield. It's a specialty unique to the Land of Rain. I hear they only get a sunny day once every hundred days on average. These tea trees normally shrink into the gaps between mountain rocks, only growing rapidly when sunlight appears. They have to be picked that very day, or they'll wither again once the rain returns. It's extremely rare."
"At a time like this, you can still be so leisurely?" Hiruzen Sarutobi snapped. He knew Danzo was not someone unable to distinguish urgency from priority, yet his current behavior still made Hiruzen's anger surge. He could not understand how Danzo could remain so calm.
Danzo shook his head. Knowing Hiruzen had no mind to drink
