"Are we still going to attack, then? Dominator Rank Demonic Creatures aren't easy to deal with."
"Of course we are."
Xu Jingming licked his lips, battle intent rising in his eyes.
"Perfect. I've never truly killed a Dominator Rank creature before."
The only Charm Pet Sovereign he had defeated had merely been enslaved. That did not count as a kill.
"But you need to be careful."
Vera reminded him, "There's something off about the way Finley looks at you. I have a feeling he's plotting something."
"I've been on guard against him for a while."
A cold smile appeared on Xu Jingming's face.
"If you ask me, these demons are nowhere near as good as humans at hiding things.
Every emotion is written all over their faces.
That Finley looks like he wants to swallow me whole. How could I possibly not be wary?"
He paused, his tone brimming with absolute confidence.
"Among this lot from the Blood Demon Palace,
only Elise has some real strength, but even she's already lost to me.
