Natural Magic required some ancient knowledge to expand one's understanding. According to Breeze's research, the surviving Ancient Runes were far too incomplete to form a system. Perhaps these ancient families could offer him some surprises.

In the evening, before curfew, Breeze followed Elisa out of the Slytherin Common Room. Oddly, Malfoy came along too.

"Is something wrong, Malfoy?"

Malfoy looked furtive, but excited, too. He glanced at Elisa, then whispered to Breeze, "I discovered a secret. Harry Potter's big, dumb friend is raising a dragon—a Norwegian Ridgeback. It's so beautiful."

Breeze saw the fascination in Malfoy's eyes and felt a little disgusted. The guy certainly had unusual tastes: either brooms or dragons.
