The grand train hall, the familiar cafeteria, and the rather incongruous bathhouse lounge—Landen had just finished a magnificent victory banquet when he fell asleep and arrived in his Divine Kingdom.

Yet tonight, in this Divine Kingdom more familiar to him than any other place, he felt a strange unease. He could still sense everything within it, but he could no longer conjure food out of thin air as he had before.

"Do you see? This is His Majesty Helide's Divine Kingdom. That false god didn't just steal it—he's been swindling people everywhere, parading around under the title of Magic Furnace Caster..."

A familiar voice came from the hall. Landen hadn't heard it in over half a year. It belonged to Lily's father, Toss Hel.

"Toss... are you really sure this is a Divine Kingdom?" asked another voice Landen had never heard before. "Why is there no magic here? And this place... it doesn't look much like one..."

"That's exactly why it must be His Majesty's Divine Kingdom. Only His Majesty Helide could create such a miracle!" Toss said, then abruptly changed the subject. "Horn, why are you dressed like that? What era are those clothes from? They look like..."

Although Landen was still inside his cafeteria, he could sense every movement of the two people in the train hall.

Toss Hel was still wearing his mage's robe, but the once-thick hair on his head was completely gone. A mark glimmered on his smooth forehead.

Horn was far more interesting. He wore an old-fashioned gray-blue uniform, and, with his sharp gaze, hooked nose, and reddish-brown hair, he looked completely out of place.
