Facing the Dark Mentor Head-On

Faced with a monster transformed from a mage's palm, Landen did not choose to charge it head-on. Instead, he rode Blaze in a wide circle, trying to kite it with flaming Wind Blades. However, the creature had extremely high resistance to fire. He tried several times to no effect, and even creating another explosion was useless.

Landen knew that his opponent, hiding behind the monster, was definitely holding back some big move. After testing it twice with no result, he could not waste any more time. "Enough, Blaze. I'll switch to Totapara and give it a try!"

With Blaze's unwilling roar and the howl of a wolf, a huge white figure sprang out from a nearby building and rushed to Landen's side.

Landen switched to the Frost-Wolf as his mount and immediately changed tactics. He froze the monster solid with ice, then leaped straight over it.

The black mist in the air and the black mire on the ground that served as a trap were meaningless before Totapara. The black mist was frozen before it could get close, while the Frost-Wolf's four paws stayed atop the frozen surface of the mire.

Uzloni knew he could no longer keep Landen here. His opponent was far too well prepared. If he forced a connection to the Magic Web, it would inevitably draw the prying eyes of nearby high-rankers, even Legends. Exposing himself in the Magic Web for a bit of money was far from worth it.
