339. The Hunt Begins

In the Great Forest, light and shadow lay mottled over everything. Kaiyi, Neil, Fang, and three Junior Knights moved together with the Flame Black Tiger and Frost-Wolf, the two Magic Beasts. With the Frost-Wolf Totapara able to communicate directly with Kaiyi, the group no longer needed Fang's hunting dogs to scout.

Before the hunt had even begun, Landen had told them that if they saw herbivorous Magic Beasts, they could leave them alive; the territory hoped to raise more Magic Beasts.

The entire party moved extremely quickly. Neil, Fang, and the other five knights were all in light leather armor, each set inscribed with magic patterns by Wendy and the others, while Landen had given Kaiyi a Space Ring. All their supplies and materials were inside the ring. In less than half an hour, the group had already passed the deepest point the Gallop Family had ever historically reached in the forest and continued exploring westward.

Very soon, they encountered the first group of Magic Beasts bold enough to provoke them: a Steel-Bristle Pig family made up of four low-level and six level-0 beasts. Facing the Steel-Bristle Pigs, the most excited one was the Flame Black Tiger. These pigs had once driven her into utter helplessness, nearly forcing her into a desperate counterbite.

Against this sort of beast herd, Neil and Fang were very experienced. Their five knights formed the line-holding group, stepping forward to face off against the pigs. Kaiyi served as the medical group and reserve line-holder, while the Black Tiger and Frost-Wolf were the damage group, responsible for the real killing. Facts proved that the Steel-Bristle Pigs' bristles had no resistance at all against flame and icy Wind Blades. The moment the four pigs clashed with the knights, the two Magic Beasts took away half of them.
