Background / History
Wendy was born among the commoner class in the eastern Dragon Kingdom. After her Mana-Wielder bloodline awakened, local minor nobles sent her to a school in Dragon Tooth City. Her standing among ordinary people was relatively high, but among Mana-Wielders, her lack of a powerful family placed her at the bottom. 52
Her extraordinary talent was recognized early. She could sense elemental flow, perceive Magic Patterns, communicate with Magic Fairies, and understand their emotions—abilities believed to belong only to Grand Mages. The Tower of Purity reserved a Dragon Kingdom placement that was clearly intended for her, but the position ultimately went to a child of the Flying Dragon Family. 55 109
Following the dispute over the Tower of Purity placement, Wendy was abducted and sold to the Gray Goose barbarian camp with Sophia, Lily, Joan, and Firefly. The camp's old priest concealed the girls from male Mana-Wielders by keeping them in tents and providing priestess robes and masks; their identities as girls remained hidden whenever they left their quarters. 51 53
When Landen occupied Gray Goose, Wendy led the girls in an attempt to escape toward the Salt Mine. Neil's cavalry intercepted them, and Wendy unsuccessfully tried to intimidate him by posing as a servant of the Heavenly God. After Landen learned who they were, he brought them into his camp and kept their identities secret for their protection. 53
Gandalf later accepted Wendy and the other former priestess apprentices as Mage Apprentices, allowing them to move openly within the camp. Wendy became a central member of Landen's developing Magic Workshop, translating for Magic Fairies, studying furnaces and arrays, and transforming Landen's ideas into functional magical products. 63 155 159
Appearance
At seventeen, Wendy was nearly 1.9 meters tall due to her awakened Mana-Wielder bloodline, though she retained a youthful, baby-faced appearance. 51 53
- Taller and physically stronger than most ordinary humans. 51
- Originally concealed herself in priestess robes and a mask while living at Gray Goose. 51 53
- Wore a Senior Mage robe made with Blue Dragon craftsmanship, carrying seven Magic Patterns. 358
- Frequently works with a magic engraving knife, magical ink, and Mage Hands. 114 772
Personality
Wendy is studious, technically gifted, and exceptionally driven. She learns quickly, takes pride in her work, and expects recognition when she has solved a difficult magical problem. Her early success with complex Magic Patterns made her competitive, particularly when the other girls began advancing ahead of her. 51 114 233 302
Her experiences as a commoner talent displaced by nobles and sold to barbarians left her distrustful of major families and initially resentful toward Gleia Blue Dragon. Over time, repeated cooperation and Gleia's support for Lily allowed Wendy to accept her as a friend and collaborator. 319 384 533
Wendy is protective of her companions and increasingly willing to take responsibility for others. She organizes workshop work, monitors training plans, leads research teams, and insists on contributing to dangerous preparations rather than remaining behind. 356 645 694 753
Although she dislikes formal public attention and can become visibly uncomfortable before Legends and other high-ranking figures, she regards Landen as an equal rather than merely a lord. Her concern for him is direct and personal, especially when he places himself in danger. 741 831
Abilities & Skills
Magic Pattern Inscription
Wendy specializes in designing, drawing, and mass-producing Magic Patterns for practical equipment and infrastructure.
- Drew a functional two-pattern heating jar after several attempts, an achievement considered difficult even for many Senior Mages. 97 98
- Produced a Magic Cargo Container with cooling, purification, sturdiness, lightness, and ventilation functions; the completed design used twenty Magic Patterns across its six faces. 114
- Organizes young mages into assembly-line production for Magic Pattern Cargo Containers. 869
- Designed most of the Magic Arrays used in the workshop alongside Sophia and Johnny rather than merely reproducing Gandalf's teachings. 740
- Created voice-amplifying and tone-altering magical instruments. 410
- Produced enchanted weapons, armor, saddles, and shields for the Gallop Knight Order. 772
Magic Fairy Communication

- Was among the people in the territory most familiar with Magic Fairies. 257
- Could sense Magic Patterns on Blaze and understand the Magic Beast's emotions. 55
Mage Hand
Wendy's signature spell is Mage Hand, which she has developed into a highly flexible tool for inscription, array operation, and complex magical manipulation.
- Can use multiple Mage Hands to draw patterns and control magical streams simultaneously. 722 761
- Developed tentacle-like Mage Hands capable of coordinating several arrays at once. 382
- Uses Mage Hands for high-speed enchantment work, including drawing patterns around a floating Magic Pattern Sword. 772
- Six Mage Hand Exquisite Orbs, combined with the orb on her chest blessed by Tania, allow her to reach the upper limit of simultaneous hand control. 772
- Her main limitation is mana reserve; despite high-level understanding, sustained large-scale operation is taxing. 739
Dragon Transformation Art Coordination
Through long-term cooperation with Guleiya, Wendy learned to take control of and reshape Guleiya's Dragon Transformation Art.
- Used magical “tails” to connect and operate three arrays simultaneously. 382
- Helped turn Guleiya's magical wings into large hands for Magic Furnace inscription. 414
- Combined Mage Hands with Guleiya's Dragon Transformation Art to manufacture High-Rank shields in minutes. 752
- Guleiya credited Wendy's application of the art with inspiring her own understanding of magic. 410
Magical Construction and Array Control
Wendy applies magic to large-scale construction, transportation, and industrial operations.
- Built the road to Night-Kirin City at a rate of roughly forty kilometers every three days, while also leveling land for camps. 149
- Helped operate the Salt Mine's Magic Furnace and its Ley Line release arrays. 188
- Led operations across the underground levels of the Royal Palace Ruins' Magic Furnace system. 382
- Set up a surveillance array outside the Learning Magic Matrix to track entrants and exits. 356
Combat Limitations
Wendy's Magic Patterns are primarily industrial and production-oriented rather than direct offensive spells.
- Acknowledged that she possessed few spells capable of seriously injuring a high-level opponent. 455
- Uses magical equipment, arrays, Mage Hands, and cooperation with stronger allies to contribute in battle. 456 752 753
