The lack of the Magic Web west of the pass had caused Elsa certain difficulties in sealing off the pass. However, after Landen conducted an on-site survey, he came up with a simple plan.

All night long, Landen directed the magical Great Fairies in building magical Elemental Towers—the kind they had built in Night-Kirin City. From the slope south of the pass, they were lined up in a row all the way to the slope north of the pass, five in total.

Because there was no Ley Line here, even though the magical environment was somewhat better than in the inland plains, the tallest towers Elsa could build here were only fifty meters high. After the five towers were completed, two twenty-meter-high walls were built fifty meters to the east and west of the towers. In the end, the five towers and the two north-south walls became four rectangular areas running from south to north, divided by the Elemental Towers as their boundaries.

With the walls and towers in place, Landen and Elsa began drawing Magic Patterns. From the towers to the walls, they covered everything in earth-type Magic Patterns, and only when the Two Suns rose did the entire drawing work finally count as finished.

"Using the accumulated earth elements to build walls?" Elsa looked at the completed project and finally understood Landen's thinking. "It's a method, sure, but for a project this large, how tall a city wall do you need?"
