Umoni took a blue slip of paper to the entrance and was led by another Mana-Wielder into a smaller dining hall. The tables and chairs here had not been cleared away, and the twenty-odd youths who had already arrived were sitting sparsely on the chairs, waiting slowly for the arrangements to come.
"Umoni? You came too?" The youth heard a familiar voice. It was his classmate Raccoon. The two boys lived in the same neighborhood of the Imperial Capital.
Umoni stared blankly at his childhood friend and classmate. Even now, he still did not understand what had happened, and he asked in a low voice, "Raccoon, do you know why we have to stay here?"
His friend showed a mysterious smile, making his freckled cheeks look even more like a raccoon. "I asked our teacher. She said we're going to Night-Kirin City together to study, and what we just did was a potential test."
Umoni's brows knitted tightly. The moment he heard they had to leave the Imperial Capital, his heart filled with reluctance. "Huh? Then does that mean we're leaving Teacher Milady?"
"No. Teacher Milady will go to Night-Kirin City with us and keep teaching us there."
As more and more students arrived one after another, after the number of students in the small dining hall reached forty, another knight walked in. Coming in with him was Umoni and Raccoon's teacher, Milady, who was only an ordinary Mana-Wielder.
"Students, please follow me and this knight to Night-Kirin City. We'll be walking from the school to Starry Sky Society's teleportation hall, so everyone must keep close to us!" Milady called to all the students and led the forty children, who had just passed the age of twelve, out of the dining hall and toward the school gates.
