A majestic voice echoed through the sky. The giant above them and the Beastmen behind him all stopped moving and turned to look at him as one.
"Of course! I only want to give my people a chance to live!" Hearing the voice of his ancestor, Tokaf hurriedly replied.
A rumble shook the western wall of the pass. A giant statue suddenly "grew" out of it, holding a torch in its hand. It looked just like one of the Watchtowers in Iowa.
"Descendant of the Gallop Family, I can give you a chance. Swear to protect your people, then use your blood to draw a gate on the city wall. I will let your people pass through it and enter the Gallop Plains safely!" Flames burned in the giant's eyes as he stared fixedly at Tokaf.
"I swear!" Tokaf had barely finished speaking when dense fog rose around him. The next moment, a voice jolted him awake.
"Captain! Captain Tokaf! Retainer Xivifu wants you to assemble the troops right away. He also said he wants to speak with you alone!"
Tokaf looked around at his tent, sleeping bag, map, weapons, and armor. Nothing had changed. Everything that had just happened really had been only a dream.
"Captain? Are you awake?" When the Attendant outside heard no answer, he hurriedly called again.
"Got it!" Tokaf replied, quickly coming to his senses. "I'll be right there!"
The night was still long. At the assault squad's supply point in the City of Life, Abadi, Neil lowered the Magic Mirror.
"How are things? Has Fang run into any danger?" Netherland Wilson stepped forward and asked.
"Not so far. The edge of the forest is very quiet. In fact, several large Ratman tribes haven't entered the forest once in the past three days." Neil
