On October 21, 997, the light of the Two Suns streamed through Iowa Pass, shining on the hills west of the Boundary River.

At the head of the Human Race troops was Senior Knight Tokaf Vishidno Gallop, the youngest son of Rosef Vishidno Gallop. After Honnier was taken away by Zhuxi, the White Wolf Retainer Xivier White Wolf had forced him to take command of the Human Race army. Now, he was leading several thousand people to their deaths ahead of the Beastmen army.
Tokaf walked at the very front, glancing back from time to time. Through his own ranks, several rows of Beastmen, a few machines, and a group of Beast God's Favored, he could still just make out the camp west of the Boundary River.
