Golden light spread from the bottom of the fjord channel, hundreds of kilometers long. Countless bubbles rose, completely driving out the Sea God's power and making the surface boil.
Underwater, the Sea God's High-Ranks were forced into the shallows by the bubbles. The White Whale God's magic made them feel as if they were far from the Sea God's will.
"Boom~"
Suddenly, a Mermaid High-Rank burst apart with a muffled bang. Bubbles, blood, and countless translucent Sea Monster larvae poured from his shattered body. The larvae quickly swelled and transformed in the bloodied water. They kept trying to probe downward, only to be pushed back up by the bubbles.
"Splash~ Splash~"
Hundreds of pirates leaped into the water from the warships behind them, then burst into pieces and blood. More and more transparent worms grew in the bloody water. Once they reached half a meter in length, they began devouring everything around them.
A few minutes later, after hundreds of people had been sacrificed, hundreds of two-meter-long translucent squids gathered together once more, forming a tentacle that probed into the depths.
"This is the Sea God's power. Even though these waters aren't in His territory, He has plenty of ways to make His will felt."
Watching the squids swim downward, Jack (Toss Hel), still enjoying the show inside a bubble beneath the surface, calmly asked Horn beside him, "Do you think that whale can get away?"
"Instead of worrying about that, shouldn't you be thinking about how we're going to get out of here?" What he had just witnessed had left Horn deeply shaken, and he was grateful to his old friend for stopping him from drinking that bottle of Sea God's fine wine. Even so, Horn couldn't see any way he would survive.
