A Show of Force

Though the building's roof appeared utterly unremarkable, it was in fact Epoch Clan advanced technology. Not only could it withstand main-gun-level attacks from orbit, it could even endure massive kinetic impacts head-on.

The building was supported only by pillars, with no walls at all, leaving the view completely unobstructed. This was so that everyone could evacuate quickly in the event of a crisis. The fifty-meter-high space between the pillars was wide enough for even large gunboats to fly straight in and pick people up.

The reason they had built something like this ultimately came down to mutual distrust. Which was only natural—neither side had ever trusted the other.

"Report: Zerg Mi Tuo approaching the venue." Although no surveillance equipment had been permitted on the building at the joint request of both sides, the technologically advanced Star Sea Alliance could still observe the area around the venue from high altitude.

In low orbit around the planet, an Epoch Clan observation vessel was moving in sync with the planet. With the technological ceiling of this star region at their disposal, their observation equipment could clearly make out the antennae of insects on the planet's surface even from this height.

At that moment, more than a dozen teams aboard the vessel were simultaneously observing and monitoring different areas on the ground. The instant a Mi Tuo emerged from underground five hundred kilometers outside the venue, one of the teams spotted it and reported it.

Although the Optical Observation instruments showed nothing underground in that location, the Epoch Clan's targeted locator still detected an anomaly in the area.

The targeted locator was a device the Epoch Clan had created by combining several technologies, specifically to counter Zerg stealth and mimicry technology. On its first deployment, it had already demonstrated its power.
