"The target has been taken!" Although the soldiers had no time to raise the alarm, their battlefield recorders had documented and uploaded everything that happened before they were swallowed.

"Blow that entire area open!" With the last patch of connected ground breached, the battlefield had undergone a massive collapse. From the air, countless bottomless holes could already be seen.

"No, our people are still down there!"

"As long as their protective suits aren't hit directly, they have a fifty percent chance of withstanding this strike!"

"That would still cause massive casualties."

"Their sacrifice is worth it. We have to complete the mission!"

On the surface, the Epoch Clan soldiers had already withdrawn. The detection equipment was hastily reinforced and then hauled away by airships. But in their rush, a large amount of equipment and supplies had still been left behind.

The soldiers on the underground battlefield also received orders: either gather around K2N9 and K1KN10, or evacuate the battlefield immediately. But just as they began to move, the fighters assigned to the bombing mission had already arrived above the target area.

The Epoch Clan had no choice. The Zerg Queen had already joined up with the Tunneling Worms. These giant bugs were experts at burrowing and tunneling. Once they turned around, they would need only minutes—perhaps even seconds—to reach the deep underground. By then, completing the mission would become immensely more difficult for the Epoch Clan.

A massive number of B5 Bombs fell. According to Serena's calculations, the attack had been launched without delay, leaving the Zerg no time to remove the target from K2N9. With the Tunneling Worms helping to shield it, even concentrated B5 Bomb bombardment would not kill the target. As for everything else, including allied soldiers, it was simply not within her considerations.

Explosions rang out
