Explosion

A burst of energy erupted from within the star. Though negligible compared to the star itself, it was like ice water thrown into hot oil, rapidly triggering a chain reaction.

A star was a massive body of plasma held together by its own gravity, but this energy briefly disrupted its gravitational equilibrium. Gravity and radiation pressure pushed outward, and the star visibly began expanding at a rapid pace. Its reach soon swallowed its first planet, then the second.

"Accelerate!" The rapidly expanding star looked spectacular, but such splendor came with deadly danger. It was absolutely not a sight to be observed from nearby.

The Zerg seemed to have noticed the star's abnormality as well, but once changes began occurring in a stellar body, even civilizations on the level of the Zerg or the Epoch Clan would find it difficult to intervene.

The Zerg fleet, which had been battling the Epoch Clan's Unmanned Fighters, split off a portion and sent them flying toward the altered star. It appeared they were trying to determine exactly what the Epoch Clan had done.

When the Epoch Clan saw that this force was not pursuing the fleet, they made no attempt to stop it. Let alone this tiny detachment, even if the entire Zerg fleet were multiplied tenfold or a hundredfold, it would still be insignificant before a star—much less capable of stopping anything.

The star expanded faster and faster. The Zerg squad that had split off had not traveled far before it was engulfed by the expanding star. A few seconds later, the star swallowed the battlefield of the Zerg fleet and the Epoch Clan's Unmanned Fighters.
