The EMP bombs equipped by the Epoch Clan were immensely powerful, capable of breaching even their own warships' defensive systems. If an EMP of that grade detonated directly inside a warship with weaker defenses, the results were easy to imagine.
The lights along the hulls of the ten warships in the 0599 Fleet rapidly went out. Even their rear engine thrusters ceased operating, while the brutal attack triggered explosions in countless internal circuits.
One of the warships was particularly unlucky. A main line near its thrusters exploded, setting off the main power line supplying the thrusters. The explosion then spread all along the line until it finally detonated the ship's energy compartment.
The violent explosion triggered even more chain reactions, blasting the warship into three large sections and countless shattered fragments.
Of the three main sections, one flew away from the formation. Another lightly grazed the rear of a different warship before drifting away as well. But the last main section, carrying a mass of smaller debris with it, flew straight toward JZJ18982192798, the ship carrying the Zerg Queen.
If that massive chunk struck it, JZJ18982192798 itself would not suffer any serious damage due to its sturdy Reactive Armor. But the impact would absolutely alter the course of the now-powerless JZJ18982192798.
It did not need to change its course by much. A slight nudge off course would be enough—by the time it reached the Star Gate, the deviation would be sufficient to make the mysterious organization's hijacking, or rather rescue operation, fail.
Fortunately, when the 0599 Fleet had deployed the EMP bombs earlier, it had already arranged itself in a dense formation. According to calculations, a different warship would happen to block this main fragment from reaching JZJ18982192798's flank.
Collisions in space made no sound. Like watching a silent film,
