The garrison forces at the various Star Gates initially lacked the capacity to assemble complete warships, but one must not forget that the Star Gate passages had not been cut off.

After discovering that its warship technology had long since been mostly stolen by The Alliance of the Inner-Ring Civilizations, the Epoch Clan lowered the secrecy classification of its warship production technology by several levels, allowing it to leave Epoch Clan territory.

With the dual support of domestic technology and physical goods, Epoch Clan military factories across various regions developed at a tremendous pace. This gave the rulers of The Alliance of the Inner-Ring Civilizations quite a headache.

Although the Epoch Clan's home territory was enormous, it still fell far short of the combined territories of more than a dozen Inner-Ring Civilizations. With little difference in technological levels between the two sides, the contest came down to who possessed more resources. By that measure, the Inner-Ring Civilizations held a considerable advantage.

But as the Epoch Clan's overseas military factories spread, producing a steady stream of new warships, the Inner-Ring Civilizations looked rather lacking by comparison, despite operating at full capacity themselves.

More importantly, although the Inner-Ring Civilizations' warships possessed highly advanced technology in certain weapons and equipment, their level of automation was extremely low. They could only maintain their warships' combat effectiveness by deploying more troops.

Over the years, the Inner-Ring Civilizations had secretly made many preparations. For example, they released several highly realistic virtual games to cultivate a large number of players with proficient skills. Now, they forcibly recruited them to replenish their forces.
