"Your Majesty, we meet again. I just didn't expect it to take so long. I originally thought it would only take a little over a hundred years." As soon as they met, Ying gave a slight bow and spoke.
"Are you disappointed?" Sarah curled her lip, unconcerned. Strangely, despite only having met once before, when they met again, they already seemed like old friends. There was far less formality in their words.
"A little, but I know this was intentional on Your Majesty's part. Perhaps this choice will be better for the Zerg."
Ying's words left Sarah's expression unchanged, but inwardly she thought, If I had the authority, I would've sent out the new units to flatten the Epoch Clan long ago. It wouldn't even have taken a hundred years.
There was no need to tell Ying that, though. She asked, "The Epoch Clan is about to lose. What did you come here to say this time?"
"Your Majesty, would you like to hear a story?" A faint gleam appeared in Ying's eyes as she stared straight at Sarah, seemingly anticipating something.
So they were finally getting to the point. Sarah had long been curious about this. If Rowan had not kept restraining her, she would have wanted to personally lead a force and defeat the Epoch Clan as soon as possible.
Thus, Sarah did not put on any airs and merely said, "Please, go on."
Ying's gaze gradually lost focus, as though she had fallen into reminiscence. It was hard to believe that a machine could portray such an expression so vividly.
"That was a very, very long time ago." It was a standard once-upon-a-time opening. Sarah assumed the posture of a listener. But after saying that, Ying paused slightly, then faintly furrowed her brow.
