Jiang Xia searched along the street and found the Convenience Store Mrs. Nanjo had mentioned.
After buying what they needed and coming out, Haibara Ai yawned. She was about to say something when she suddenly froze.
Jiang Xia glanced at her. "What is it?"
Haibara Ai raised a hand and pointed across the street.
There was a burger shop there. Perhaps because it was getting late, there were not many customers inside. By the window sat a short-haired woman who looked somewhat familiar.
—Nanjo Hayato's manager was leaning by the window, staring absently at the building diagonally across from her.
"So Mr. Nanjo kicked his manager out too." Professor Agasa recalled the ill-tempered famous actor and looked at her sympathetically. "She's so young, yet she's already endured the harsh realities of the workplace."
