Okiya Subaru dragged his suitcase along, searching for somewhere to stay while unable to stop his thoughts from running wild.
After finding a hotel and settling in, he took out his phone and checked the time.
Uzo apparently hadn't come out specifically to catch him—this superior clearly had other business to handle, and catching him was merely incidental. The meeting time in the email wasn't now, but several hours later.
