Even so, Amuro Tooru couldn't help saying, "You sure know a lot about this."
Jiang Xia looked a little pleased at the praise, but quickly said modestly, "I still have a long way to go. I just heard a doctor mention it a few times when I talked with him before. Trying to understand a criminal's mindset like this really does help solve cases."
...A doctor?
Amuro Tooru searched through his memories of the doctors Jiang Xia had encountered, and one person suddenly sprang to mind—the Psychiatrist who had murdered a police officer in broad daylight, run into Jiang Xia while fleeing, and then been swung onto the street like a sack.
When Amuro Tooru had suspected Jiang Xia of being Uzo, he had investigated that man thoroughly and had even observed him in person, so he remembered him fairly well.
Amuro Tooru: "..." What the hell had that bastard been talking to his patients about? He should have arrested him sooner.
When he got back, he needed to have Kazami check the man's patient list and see whether there were any unfortunate souls who had been led astray by him.
Conan, on the other hand, didn't think too much about it this time. He and Jiang Xia had the same idea—besides the mysteries of the case itself, figuring out how a criminal's mind worked was interesting in its own right.
The only troubling thing was that the victim had actually wanted to use his own death to manipulate someone else's death... Could that desire to control others have itself been planted by someone else?
Conan sighed. Until they found further clues, he should stop thinking in that direction. Criminal minds were already hard enough to fathom; this question had no answer at all...
But he really couldn't stop wondering!
