"Mr. Screenwriter?!"
A group of people followed Conan to the backstage area in confusion, only to see the first-grade elementary school student head straight for the screenwriter's room and start knocking on the door.
There was no response from inside. After only a couple of knocks, Conan's knocking turned into pounding.
"Conan?" Mouri Ran hurried over and grabbed the child who was banging on someone else's door. "What are you doing?"
Conan had wanted to force the door open amid the chaos, but his arms were too short to reach properly.
Just then, he saw Jiang Xia arriving with the actors. Conan's eyes lit up as though he had found a savior. "Open the door! The screenwriter hasn't answered at all. Something might have happened to him!"
Jiang Xia tried the doorknob. It was unlocked, and he pushed the door open easily.
When several actors saw them tampering with the screenwriter's room door, they hurried over to stop them, worried that the guests would get scolded.
But when they reached the doorway, before they could stop Jiang Xia, they saw the scene inside. Shirai Yuri let out a terrified scream— the screenwriter had collapsed beside the desk, lying face-down on the floor without moving. Small shards of porcelain were scattered beside his head, and a broken Vase had rolled nearby. It looked like a Murder Case scene.
"Don't come in."
Jiang Xia had thought he would need to stop the other Theater Troupe members like a Detective, preventing them from rushing in and contaminating the crime scene.
However, he quickly realized that was entirely unnecessary—no one wanted to come in and check on the screenwriter.
Mouri Ran and the others had yet to recover from the shock, while the Theater Troupe members, aside from being stunned, apparently did not share
