Amuro Tooru: "..." His own investigation had actually collided with another one of Jiang Xia's cases. Jiang Xia's tendency to keep running into acquaintances was truly impossible to guard against. Fortunately, Amuro had stayed far enough away and hadn't gotten dragged in.
As he thought this, he couldn't help glancing toward Ito Tamanosuke's ward. "..." Not only did Jiang Xia easily run into acquaintances, he always ran into unlucky ones too...
Thinking of that, Amuro Tooru suddenly felt a bit of fellow-sufferer sympathy for the high school student who was still unconscious. He hoped the student would be all right.
Jiang Xia returned to the theater building. The moment he looked up, he saw that two police officers were guarding the back door—perhaps because another Murder Case had occurred the moment they let their guard down last night, the police no longer dared to be careless. Even though they felt the scene had mostly been dealt with, they had still stationed people here.
"Don't stay inside too long." The officer at the door looked familiar. Though he let Jiang Xia's group in, he sighed wearily. "Otherwise, if another Murder Case really happens, those reporters and the Production Team will be over the moon."
Jiang Xia nodded. "Don't worry."
The officer's concerns proved unnecessary: two members of the theater troupe were dead and one was injured in this building. Less than half of them remained now, and they couldn't rehearse at all, so they were all staying at a nearby hotel.
At present, only Jiang Xia's group and a handful of police officers were in the building. No matter how one looked at it, the conditions for another Murder Case simply weren't there.
When they reached the stage, Jiang Xia noticed a figure beside Naraku.
