After the Explosion Case ended, Jiang Xia checked his phone every few days, waiting for a warm message from a certain sushi chef.
Yet after a long while, there was no movement at all. Emails had indeed arrived on his phone, but most were messages of concern from others who had attended the lecture meeting. None were from Rum.
"How strange. Did his phone get blown up?" Jiang Xia refreshed his Mailbox unwillingly. "Shouldn't he be taking this chance to mention the explosion, trick me into visiting him, happily build a friendship with me, and then become a regular presence by my side? To pass up such a good opportunity—this guy really is fickle."
Aside from a few Ghosts who loved cooking and wanted to try making sushi themselves, the other Ghosts had little interest in Rum.
"The vinegared rice does taste pretty mediocre." Jiang Xia understood what the Ghosts meant and sighed. "But isn't he still holding onto my iced black tea and Aloe? Besides, if he really met with me often, coffee production could probably increase too... What a pity."
After thinking for a moment, Jiang Xia decided he should stay optimistic. "But looking on the bright side, no contact now doesn't mean there won't be any later—perhaps he thinks it's too late today and wants to come see me tomorrow, leaving me with a good impression that he considers other people's schedules?"
Just as he was thinking that, another phone suddenly vibrated.
Jiang Xia paused and took out the Organization-Specific Phone. Though he considered himself fairly well-liked within the organization, everyone was probably usually too busy, so few people ever contacted him voluntarily.
He opened the email and saw that the sender was actually Curacao.
