After reading the reply email, Hashimoto Maya pondered for a moment, tapped on the keyboard, found the real estate agency's official website, and looked up some other information online.
The more he looked, the deeper his frown became. "This agency doesn't seem very legitimate. There are so many bad reviews, and quite a few people say it disrupts business. Is it really reliable? Why didn't that lady entrust it to a better agency?"
But on second thought, it made sense. The ruins of the Aqua Crystal Restaurant lay in the sea. Even a shark would be tempted to leave a one-star review for a location like that. Not to mention the three corpses buried beneath it.
It was obvious the place would not sell for much, and it might even ruin the agency's reputation. A normal broker might not take on a haunted house among haunted houses like this.
"I hope the agent handling it is an honest man and doesn't pull any shady double-crossing or contract fraud." Some instinct in Hashimoto Maya stirred, only for him to forcefully suppress it. Back in the Organization, running into a crooked businessman meant a chance to make a small fortune—either seize some evidence and blackmail him for free benefits, or drag him off and sink him in Tokyo Bay.
...Unfortunately, he was only a detective assistant now. He had to be a good person and greet every partner with a smile.
Maintaining his politeness, Hashimoto Maya replied to the agent named "Zhangtian Zhengci" and arranged a time.
Zhangtian Zhengci replied quickly enough. He barely used honorific language for this customer who had come knocking, but his tone could not hide his casual indifference. Clearly, he did not think anyone would actually be willing to pay for that worthless patch of sea.
