Ide Toshiyuki was staring at that group of Elementary School Students when, suddenly, one of the boys turned around. His lenses flashed with an eerie gleam under the screen's light.

"!" Ide Toshiyuki held his breath instinctively.

Fortunately, the boy merely glanced at him before quickly looking away.

Ide Toshiyuki: "..." Why am I nervous over an elementary school student? I really am getting more timid with age.

Jiang Xia noticed Conan turning around and asked, "What is it?"

Conan scratched the back of his head. "I just got the feeling someone was watching us."

As an Organization Cadre on the run, Haibara Ai was rather sensitive to that subject. She leaned closer to Jiang Xia and Conan, pricking up her ears to listen.

Conan noticed her movement and conscientiously said, "There wasn't anyone suspicious. Just a thin man in a blue T-shirt who looked like a college student who stayed home all year—maybe he was just afraid us kids would be too noisy, so he kept staring at us."

As he spoke, he turned to look at his three genuinely elementary-school-aged classmates, his feelings complicated: whenever they were with Jiang Xia, these little brats seemed to become a lot less bratty.

Only after hearing him say "blue clothes" did Haibara Ai secretly let out a sigh of relief.

She turned back, gripped the chair back, and quietly peered through the gap behind her. Sure enough, she saw no suspicious Men in Black, but she did notice something else.

"There are so few customers." Her gaze swept roughly across the lobby. "Other than us, there are only four people."

"Today is Teitan Elementary School's anniversary celebration, not a regular day off, so there aren't many people." Conan recalled something. "And you heard it too, right?
