Jiang Xia followed several employees to the changing room. Pushing open the door and looking into the inner room, he was greeted by the sight of a gigantic pink frog head.
Below it were a huge green-and-white mouth, a black pointed collar, a plump pink body, and a pair of green boots reaching up to the knees.
"What the hell is that..." Inspector Megure jumped at the sight of the enormous thing. A second later, he caught himself. "Ahem, I mean, this mascot has a very distinctive design."
A company employee patted the frog's head and smiled. "Cute, isn't it?"
Inspector Megure: "..." No, no, that wasn't what I meant.
Jiang Xia silently rubbed his eyes and looked away from the frog. "Who planned this Commemorative Reception?"
"Department Manager Oba, too." Looking at the commemorative item designed by Satoru Oba, the employee sighed sincerely. "He really is talented in so many ways."
Jiang Xia reached toward the frog, then slowly withdrew his hand. After a moment, he said to Officer Takagi beside him, "Search this frog carefully. It may be important evidence, and as an outsider, it wouldn't be convenient for me to handle it myself."
