The Blue-Hatted Robber seemed to think of something, his brow furrowing. "Could the driver of that black car be trying to save even more people? ...Talk about pushing his luck!"
As he spoke, he looked out the window, intending to pull out his gun and shoot out the car's tire.
But whether by coincidence or something else, no matter how he gestured, he simply could not find an angle to aim from.
"Tch!" The Blue-Hatted Robber grew impatient. After thinking for a moment, he turned around and pointed his gun at the bus driver. "I remember there's a single-lane side road up ahead—turn onto it, then speed up and shake off that guy behind us!"
Even if they could not lose him, it would keep that audacious black-car driver from driving alongside them. He would have no choice but to follow behind, leaving him less room to dodge and making him easier to shoot.
"A single-lane side road?" The bus driver knew this stretch of road better than the robbers did and knew that turn was just ahead. He hurriedly spun the steering wheel and barely managed to turn onto it as ordered.
For some reason, the black car with its impressive driving skills was swerving all over the place. It failed to react in time and could only watch helplessly as the bus turned away.
The two robbers went to the window and warily watched the car behind them, waiting for it to turn around and follow like gum stuck to a shoe. Yet, unexpectedly, the black car did not turn around. It simply kept speeding away.
"...?" Little Red Riding Hood glanced at the Blue-Hatted Robber and asked the brains of their group, "Why did they leave?"
The Blue-Hatted Robber pondered for a moment, feeling that he understood.
