Some were terrified, some were distracted, some were focused on solving the case... while others were murmuring about things no one else could hear.
The two hunters moved a few steps away and huddled together, speaking quietly. The bearded man asked the man with glasses, "Where's the videotape?"
The man with glasses froze. "How would I know? I wasn't the one who killed him."
The bearded man was startled. "I didn't kill him either. Then where's the tape?"
The two stared wide-eyed at each other, momentarily stunned.
After a while, they came back to their senses and looked again at the others, who were still panicking.
Good thing we blew up the Tunnel beforehand. Before we find that tape, we absolutely can't let these people leave. The two hunters secretly counted themselves lucky, then raised their voices to the others:
"Alright, what's there to be afraid of? It's just an unarmed killer who can only hit people with a wooden stick."
Under Calvados's suddenly vicious gaze, the two continued without noticing. "Since there's nothing left at the scene, let's hurry back to the Villa. My feet are practically frozen stiff."
The female photographer hesitated. "But what if that killer is lying in wait at the Villa...?"
"Wouldn't that make it more exciting?" The two hunters shrugged and headed toward the Villa.
After taking a few steps, the bearded man turned back and sneered, "If you're too scared to go back, stay here and spend one night with that unlucky bastard who got killed."
The man with glasses burst out laughing. "Just hope that by tomorrow morning, you don't turn into Snow Women frozen to death."
"..."
Though their words were unpleasant, they did have a point.
