"Saburo?" The old woman looked surprised, then understood what Jiang Xia meant. "You're saying Saburo carried the chocolate over to the body?"

But the hunter thought something was off. "Don't tell me you couldn't find the murderer, so now you're making things up. I remember that you, that kid, and this dog found the body together. If the dog had placed the chocolate there, you would've seen it then."
Jiang Xia turned on the television. "In last night's footage, there was a segment where Mr. Futagaki used a ball to tease Saburo while it was lying on the ground. But Saburo, who usually loved playing with balls, showed no interest in it that time.
"Also, I heard that the deceased owner used to take Saburo to visit his ex-wife's grave every day. And now, only the three graves belonging to them haven't been damaged by wild animals.
"From this, it's likely that the deceased owner trained Saburo to guard the graveyard and prevent the tombstones from being destroyed."
The old woman scratched her head. "But every night, I lock Saburo in its cage to keep it from running around and getting into danger. It couldn't possibly go to the graveyard on its own."
