Inspector Megure recalled their speculation before rescuing the hostages at the factory. Imitating Brother Jiang Xia's tone, he tested them, "If I remember correctly, the factory where you hid the hostages belongs to Councilman Narimasu Kenzou, the organizer of this Tennis Tournament—were you acting on his orders when you kidnapped and planned to kill someone?"
The glasses-wearing man, whose glasses had fallen off, flew into a rage. "Who would work for someone like him?!"
The hedgehog-haired man realized something was wrong. "Idiot, don't talk nonsense!"
But it was already too late. Inspector Megure chuckled and showed an enlightened look. "So your murder target is actually Mr. Narimasu Kenzou, isn't it?"
Cold sweat streamed down the hedgehog-haired man's face, but he stubbornly denied it. "Not taking orders from him means we want to kill him? There's no logic in that at all!"
The glasses-wearing man hurriedly tried to patch things up. "Exactly! Exactly!"
Inspector Megure was usually a little muddle-headed, but not to that extent. He snorted. "It's too late to deny it! Tell me, who is your other accomplice?"
The two clamped their mouths shut and said nothing.
Inspector Megure's head started hurting again: he wasn't afraid of suspects who resisted arrest
