Haibara Ai gave a quiet acknowledgment, without doubting him. The question had only been something to say, after all. As for explosion injuries... Jiang Xia came here for meals every day. How could she not know whether he was hurt?
Beside them, Matsuda Jinpei recalled something because of that remark. It tugged at Jiang Xia's sleeve, reminding him that they had only used one of the pile of bombs they had dug out of the garbage bags a few days ago. The rest were still hidden in a ruined house nearby, waiting to be dealt with.
"No rush. Leave them there for now." Jiang Xia casually stirred his coffee and followed the Pattern Seal's lead. "They might come in handy someday."
After saying that, he continued looking out the window, waiting for the Killing Intent and cases that would soon pass by. But Haibara Ai's words seemed to have reminded the two high school girls chattering about Teacher Jodie's innocence of Jiang Xia's presence.
