"Another Murder Case?" Inspector Megure sighed when he received the news.
After picking up the call, he turned to look at the empty office, then recalled where the Murder Case had occurred. An idea flashed through his mind. "Shiratori, I heard there was a murder at the Dessert Museum in Tropical Land. Apparently, some company president died—you called because of that, right? Since you happen to be there, take some people over and check it out."
"Uh..." Officer Shiratori hesitated. "Our surveillance net targeting the drug dealers is already in place. If we leave rashly now, disrupted arrangements would be the least of our problems. If we alert Yagura Maji, he might slip away."
Inspector Megure frowned. "But amusement parks have huge crowds, and there's a lot of work to do. You took so many people out today that I'm afraid I won't have enough manpower to handle the Murder Case."
Officer Shiratori said confidently, "Don't worry, Jiang Xia is at the amusement park right now!"
"Oh?" Inspector Megure's tone rose. That was good news. Brother Jiang Xia could shorten more than just their working hours—through deduction, he could greatly reduce the manpower needed for an investigation.
With that support, Inspector Megure felt much more at ease. "All right, then keep lying in wait. But... hold on."
Halfway through, the inspector belatedly remembered something and sensed that something was off. "There was a Murder Case at the transaction site. Will that Yagura still make the deal as planned?"
Officer Shiratori answered honestly, "I don't know."
Inspector Megure's brow twitched. He was about to speak when Officer Shiratori continued, "If Yagura Maji is cautious by nature, he may change locations. But if he's the arrogant and cunning sort who enjoys exploiting loopholes, he'll likely take the risk and
