Mizunashi Rena had not forgotten the shadow cast by Gin's sinister smile yesterday and continued to watch her surroundings vigilantly. As she looked around, she suddenly spotted a bridge ahead—the very one where a group of workers had been carrying out construction when they came to the inn.
"Be careful." After hesitating for a moment, Mizunashi Rena still offered a warning. Though she did not know what exactly they should be careful of, a bridge spanning a mountain ravine, combined with the factor of "construction," made it hard to feel at ease.
The Female Chef glanced ahead. The construction was not actually on the bridge itself, but on the cement road across from it. Half of that road had been cordoned off for repairs. The Female Chef assumed Mizunashi Rena was worried that the narrowed road would be difficult for her to navigate, so she cooperatively slowed down.
The car passed safely over the bridge. The workers by the roadside looked up at it, then went back to leisurely paving the road.
