As she pondered, Curacao followed the others down the long stone steps to the bottom of the cliff.
A sweep of a flashlight revealed a striking burgundy color—the body of President Yamazaki, dressed in a business suit, lay motionless on the hard riverbed below.
For some reason, she seemed to have died with grievance. Her slightly twisted expression startled Mouri Ran and Suzuki Sonoko, who took one glance before immediately ducking back behind their classmates.
Curacao: "..." Who were they trying to fool? Hadn't those two deliberately pushed open the window earlier to enjoy the lovely sight of someone suddenly falling from the sky? And now they were pretending to be innocent high school girls.
Then again...
Looking at the corpse on the ground, Curacao could vaguely understand their terror.
"Hadn't she realized that ever since she met Uzo, her life had been going far too smoothly?"
Anyone she wanted dead, died. In less than a week, she had dealt with troublesome debt collectors, uncooperative business partners, and an old tea ceremony master with a vast inheritance... Such a wonderful power, one that rarely appeared even in dreams, had actually become reality. President Yamazaki had not only gladly accepted it, but had quickly ignored the danger behind it.

A chill crept into Curacao's heart, and she decided to take it as a warning. "I need to be more careful in the future too. If one day everything starts going too smoothly and I suddenly achieve something incredible, I should first consider whether something has quietly made a
