Uchiha Yue extended his right hand, and Nagato took it. It looked as though Nagato had accepted his fate and acknowledged that his Rinnegan belonged to Uchiha Yue. But just as Uchiha Yue curled his lips into a smile that seemed both pleased and celebratory, a thought suddenly arose in his mind. His smile gradually turned cold, and even his face became shrouded in killing intent!
"Nagato, do you truly acknowledge me?"
"Yes, I truly acknowledge you, Yue-kun."
Hearing Uchiha Yue's words, Nagato wore an expression as though he had fallen under a genjutsu, his eyes filled with worship for Uchiha Yue. Yet it was precisely Nagato's exaggerated acting that made the killing intent in Uchiha Yue's eyes grow even stronger. The one you acknowledge seems to be Yahiko, isn't it?"
"Yahiko? No, the one I acknowledge isn't Yahiko—it's you, Uchiha Yue!"
When he heard Uchiha Yue's question again, Nagato still did not hesitate in the slightest. However, Nagato suddenly clasped Uchiha Yue's right hand in return, letting Uchiha Yue know that their battle to sever ties was about to begin. But before truly fighting Uchiha Yue, Nagato still needed to speak the words he had buried in his heart for so long. The instant he gripped Uchiha Yue's hand, Nagato first slowly closed his eyes and said at an unhurried pace:
"Yue-kun, I've always felt that we were people walking the same path. My parents were killed by Konoha shinobi, so I always thought you would be able to understand my beliefs. That's right, most of my beliefs were derived from Yahiko. You could say Yahiko was my
