After a flash of light, a man appeared before Black Zetsu, clad in armor with long silver hair. Four red stripes marked his face, two on each cheek, and a blue crescent adorned his forehead. He was strikingly handsome, but his eyes radiated an icy chill. His imperious bearing made him seem as though he looked down upon the entire world.
"Who are you? Were you the one who woke me? Where is Thanatos?" the man asked, looking coldly at Zetsu.
Black Zetsu steadied himself and said, "Lord Heaven Slayer, my name is Black Zetsu, and he is White Zetsu. Lord Thanatos instructed me to awaken you. His avatar was defeated by Naruto Uzumaki of Konoha and his companions. Lord Thanatos gave me the Godslaying Orb beforehand. He hoped you would fulfill his wish and rescue my mother, Kaguya Otsutsuki."
Heaven Slayer frowned. "Since you know my name, you must be telling the truth. I never expected Thanatos to be defeated. That really is a surprise. So this Naruto Uzumaki is very strong, then?"
Black Zetsu replied, "Although Naruto Uzumaki is powerful, he should still be no match for Lord Thanatos. Lord Thanatos was defeated because he was already gravely injured. On top of that, Naruto Uzumaki and the others ambushed him and overwhelmed him with numbers, attacking him together."
Heaven Slayer said, "A defeat is a defeat. Why make so many excuses? Do those excuses somehow mean he wasn't defeated?"
Black Zetsu was stunned. Seeing him freeze, Heaven Slayer ignored him and continued, "Then where is the man who defeated Thanatos? Right, you said his name was Naruto Uzumaki. Where is he now?"
