"Begin the attack!" At Gaara's command, thirty thousand ninja charged toward the Akatsuki's base.
Yahiko and Konan stood atop the cliff, watching the ninja army draw closer. "Move out," Yahiko said calmly. At his command, an army of sixty thousand White Zetsu emerged from underground and charged toward the ninja forces.
The two sides clashed in close-quarters combat. The White Zetsu army was clearly being driven back, but Yahiko showed no sign of panic. He simply kept watching the changes on the battlefield.
Yahiko paid attention only to the elite fighters from each shinobi village, ignoring everyone else. As time passed, the ninja army advanced to within two hundred meters of the cliff.
At that point, Konan said, "Yahiko, it looks like the White Zetsu can't hold out much longer. We should..."
Yahiko waved a hand. "Not yet. Wait a little longer, until they get closer. By the way, has Nagato sent word?"

"Black Zetsu has located the daimyo," Konan said. "He should be making his move. I think he should be able to eliminate them."
Yahiko shook his head. "I doubt he'll succeed. According to my intelligence, the Fifth Mizukage, Mei Terumi, isn't at their command base. Only the Raikage and Hokage stayed there, and the only Kage on the battlefield now are the Tsuchikage and Kazekage. I think the Fourth Mizukage must be guarding the daimyo. Black Zetsu has some ability, but he's still no match for the Mizukage."
