Lu Li had set the meeting for two days later. That was plenty of time to finish putting his skills together. Back at his temporary base, he first took out the Shadow Assassin's seven modules, setting the Magic Module aside. Then he stacked the nine Magic Masks and placed the Will Module on top.
Lu Li slowly summoned his own Shadow Magic. The magic within the nine masks before him began to glow faintly. He picked up the Bestowal and Solidification Modules, injected magic directly into them, and watched them glow.
A glint flashed in Lu Li's eyes. As expected, the skill bar was just there to help players make better use of modules. It wasn't necessary to have one in order to use them. With that in mind, Lu Li brought the two glowing modules in his hands close to the Will Module resting on the masks.
While in the instance, Lu Li had considered whether the masks might be able to store modules as well as magic, turning them into another kind of skill bar. When the Witch extracted modules, Lu Li had watched from the side and vaguely sensed that modules were also energy crystals, only with rules contained within them.
But Lu Li didn't have the Witch's sorcery, so he could only rely on modules to make this work. Under the effects of the Bestowal and Solidification Modules, the Will Module gradually merged into the nine masks. Lu Li felt his connection to them grow closer.
After sensing that he still had more than half his magic left, Lu Li placed the Manipulation Module on the masks and began the merging process. By the time his magic had nearly run out, the Manipulation Module had finally merged completely into the nine masks.
