Old Days Chapter (Finale)

It was truly unexpected. Those humans had actually advanced into higher lifeforms. Although this higher lifeform was profoundly inadequate, its essence had already been elevated. Given enough time to perfect itself, it might truly have become a Great Existence.

"What a pity." The method these humans had used to advance into higher lifeforms was both simple and difficult. They believed that since humanity existed, humanity itself was part of the universe's operation. Why, then, could humanity not become a higher lifeform?

The "Human Equation" was their achievement. It was humanity's principle. Yet humanity's sense of self was far too lowly and scattered, utterly incapable of using this principle to become a Great Existence.

So they used the Necronomicon to extract their existences and operate according to the Human Equation. Once the multiverse had been destroyed and humanity consisted of only them—once they became humanity itself—they could rely on the Human Equation to become humanity's Great Existence.

However, humanity's essence was incomparably weak, and their method was merely a shortcut, so it appeared exceptionally feeble. If not for these surviving humans having dwelled within Azathoth's domain for so long and gained immunity to Azathoth, they would not have survived until now.

But humanity's luck ended here. Its foundation was wholly insufficient to sustain it any further. Even after becoming a higher lifeform, its principle could only support a small human world, and it swiftly failed within the Final Blueprint.

There was no miracle, no desperate comeback, no triumph of human will over fate, no unreasonable victory. Humanity was not the protagonist. Naturally, humanity lost. It collapsed into them, then collapsed completely.

That ever-changing existence, because of its constantly shifting nature, transformed during one change into a rule-form of dark shadows, and was then kicked out by Gresta and Tsathoggua working together.
